Our community is faced with serious challenges that need creative and comprehensive solutions. We see problems that are affecting 1) the people in our community, like the large percentage of children unable to read at grade level; 2) the place we live, like the safety of our community as reflected by growing crime statistics and a reduced police force; and 3) the economy of our community in the area of good jobs so that our citizens can work and support their families.View
